NAWALPARASI: Efforts are underway to repair and reopen the road that caved in near Khursani Khola, Daunne, Bardghat-4, West Nawalparasi.

According to the District Police Office, West Nawalparasi, the road caved in on Friday evening, leaving a section about 20 feet long and 5 feet wide collapsed. Traffic along the highway has been halted, leaving vehicles stranded on both sides. Police have indicated that it will take some time before the road is fully operational.

Previously, on Ashwin 14, a similar incident occurred in the Khursani Khola area. Road collapses and landslides have become common in the Daunne area due to the loose soil from the ongoing expansion of the Narayanghat-Butwal road into a three-lane highway.

Frequent road blockages during the holiday season have caused significant inconvenience for travelers.
