NC President Deuba appoints heads of 37 party departments

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has appointed leadership for 37 party departments in accordance with the party’s statute.

Krishna Prasad Poudel, the party chief secretary, said that President Deuba appointed various central party members to lead these departments.

The appointments include Govinda Bhattarai as the head of the state administration department; Madhu Acharya for local level coordination; Man Bahadur Biswokarma for archiving, monitoring, and evaluation; and Chandra Bahadur KC for federal affairs coordination.

Likewise, others include Govinda Bahadur Shah for parliamentary affairs; Man Bahadur Nepali for law affairs; Rajeeb Dhungana for student affairs; and Dr. Dila Sangraula for professional and intellectual matters.

Other appointments are Nain Singh Mahar as the head of education; Dr. Chandramohan Yadav for health; Madan Bahadur Amatya for construction business coordination; and Shiva Prasad Humagain for public transport and transport entrepreneurs coordination.

Likewise, Umesh Shrestha for agriculture and farmers; Umesh Jung Rayamajhi for sports; Taraman Gurung for natural resources; Bidya Devi Timilsina for literature, art, and culture; and Laxmi Pariyar for Dalit community coordination and empowerment.

Additionally, Krishna Kishor Ghimire will head conflict management and mediation; Maikulal Balmiki will oversee Muslim affairs; Karna Bahadur Budha will coordinate financial institutions; Sushila Mishra Bhatta will handle science and information technology; Mahendra Kumari Limbu will be in charge of ex-Army affairs; and Prof. Dr. Govinda Raj Pokharel will lead the economic policy and planning department.

Abdul Satar will lead the well-wisher organizations; Harisharan Nepali will handle labor and trade unions; Nripa Bahadur Woda will manage land management, landless, and unmanaged settlement coordination; Dhana Khatiwada will focus on human rights; Kalyan Kumar Gurung will address environmental and climate change issues; Anil Kumar Rungata will be responsible for energy and water resources; and Dr. Jeewan Rana will oversee the children and adolescents coordination department.

Further appointments include Laxmi Khatiwada as the chief of civil relations and problems resolution coordination; Ganga Laxmi Awal for professional skills development; Dr. Gopal Dahat for poor uplift coordination; Arjun Prasad Joshi for social organization coordination; Ajayababu Shiwakoti for the library and party study-resource center; Dhyan Govinda Ranjit for religion-culture coordination; and Dinesh Koirala for former immigrant coordination.
