KATHMANDU: The monsoon is currently affecting the country, with the monsoon low-pressure line positioned slightly north of its normal place.

The weather is currently partly to normal cloudy across the hilly areas of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces.

The Terai region is experiencing partly cloudy to mainly clear conditions.

Light rain is occurring in a few locations within Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Koshi provinces.

This afternoon, the weather is expected to be partly to mostly cloudy nationwide.

There is a chance of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in various places across all states.

Heavy rain is possible in a couple of locations in Koshi and Bagmati provinces.

Tonight, the weather will generally be cloudy.

Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is anticipated in many areas of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, with some areas in the remaining provinces also affected.

A few locations in Koshi, Madhes, and Bagmati provinces, along with one or two places in Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, are likely to experience heavy rain.
