Cooperative fraud victims show black flags to PM Dahal in Pokhara, 11 arrested

KATHMANDU: Victims of the cooperative fraud case displayed black flags to Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal in Pokhara on Wednesday.

PM Dahal, who is also the Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Center), was in Pokhara for a party event when he was confronted by victims of the Surya Darshan Cooperatives.

The protesters chanted slogans and displayed black flags and banners.

In response, police arrested 11 individuals involved in the protest.

Additionally, two people were injured and are currently receiving treatment at local hospitals.

A parliamentary investigation committee has been formed to investigate the cooperative fraud case, including the Surya Darshan Cooperatives.
