These are the seven lawmakers exiting from Upendra Yadav-led JSP to form new party



KATHMANDU: In a significant development, a faction led by Ashok Rai has chosen to split from the Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP).

The faction has filed an application at the Election Commission to register a new political entity.

Rajendra Shrestha, representing the faction, has asserted that the faction commands a majority within the party, with seven out of the 12 JSP lawmakers in the House of Representatives aligning with them.

“With the support of the majority lawmakers and in compliance with the law, we are poised to register JSP as a new party,” Shrestha stated confidently.

Here is the list of the seven lawmakers departing from the Upendra Yadav-led JSP:
