PM Dahal, Oli, and Lamichhane meet amidst NC’s call for cooperative fraud investigation

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Home Minister Rabi Lamichhane, and CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli convened for a meeting on Sunday to discuss current political developments in the country.

The trio’s discussions took place amidst ongoing parliamentary obstruction by the main opposition party, Nepali Congress, demanding the formation of a parliamentary committee to investigate Home Minister Lamichhane’s alleged involvement in cooperative fraud.

With the government scheduled to convene the budget session of parliament from May 10, the NC’s firm stance on the cooperative fraud case indicates a likelihood of continued obstruction in the upcoming session.

Prime Minister Dahal is actively seeking a political consensus on the matter ahead of the budget session.
