KATHMANDU: The Election Commission (EC) has announced the finalized voter counts for the upcoming by-elections scheduled for April 27 in Ilam-2 and Bhajang-1 constituencies.

In Ilam-2, there has been an increase of 422 voters, bringing the total to 115,889 from the previous count of 115,467 in 2079.

Similarly, in Bhajang-1, the number of voters has risen by 638, reaching a total of 61,748.

On a national scale, voter registration has seen a significant increase, with 87,417 new voters added across the country.

Notably, Morang district now boasts the highest number of voters nationwide, with a total of 739,390 registered voters, surpassing Kathmandu.

Conversely, Manang has the lowest number of registered voters, with just 6,849 votes recorded.
