MORANG: Machchhindra Football Club has secured a spot in the final of the ongoing Birat Gold Cup Football Tournament in Biratnagar.

In an intense semifinal match held at the Martyr Stadium on Thursday night, Machchhindra emerged victorious against Sikkim Dragon, earning them a spot in the highly anticipated final showdown.

With this impressive win, Machchhindra is now set to face off against the home team, Shangrila Morang FA, in the ultimate battle for the championship title.

Notably, Shangrila Morang FA secured their place in the final by defeating the Armed Police Force (APF)’s departmental team in a thrilling match on Wednesday.

The semifinal victory for Machchhindra was sealed by Ayush Ghalan’s remarkable 94th-minute goal, which proved to be the deciding factor in the match.

Ghalan’s stellar performance earned him the prestigious ‘man of the match’ title for his outstanding contribution to the team’s success.

As excitement builds for the final clash, fans can expect an exhilarating showdown between Machchhindra Club and Shangrila Morang FA as they vie for the coveted Birat Gold Cup title.

The tournament organizers have announced a lucrative cash prize of Rs 1.1 million for the winners, while the runners-up will receive Rs 550,000, adding further anticipation to the highly anticipated final match.
