Suicide note in Shalini Pokharel’s case authenticated as her own handwriting

CHTWAN: The note discovered at the scene of Shalini Pokharel’s suicide has been confirmed to have been written by Pokharel herself.

According to SP Bhavesh Rimal, Chief of District Police Office, Chitwan, the suicide note found alongside Shalini has undergone handwriting analysis at the Forensic Science Laboratory.

The examination at the laboratory has indicated a match in handwriting between the suicide note and Shalini’s answer sheets, suggesting a common author.

Despite the confirmation, relatives of the deceased expressed skepticism regarding reports of Shalini’s suicide and have called for a comprehensive investigation into the case.

Shalini, a 13-year-old student enrolled at Ekta Shishu Niketan in Ratnagar, Chitwan, was found deceased in her room at the school hostel.

Mahesh Pokhrel, the uncle of the deceased, mentioned that the final rites were conducted at Pashupati Aryaghat on Tuesday afternoon.
