Mahesh Bartaula named chief whip, Sunita Baral appointed whip of CPN-UML



KATHMANDU: Mahesh Bartaula has been appointed as the chief whip of the CPN-UML party.

Bartaula assumes the role following the appointment of Padam Giri as a minister, a move prompted by the formation of a new coalition government with CPN (Maoist Center).

In addition, lawmaker Sunita Baral has been designated as the whip of the party.

This appointment comes as CPN-UML, in collaboration with CPN (Maoist Center), JSP, and RSP, formed a new coalition government on Monday, subsequent to the termination of the coalition led by Nepali Congress by the Maoist Center.
