Maoist Center ministers suspended in Gandaki Province amid political shifts

KATHMANDU: The recent political shifts at the federal level are reverberating across various tiers of government, as evidenced by the suspension of two ministers from the CPN (Maoist Center) in Gandaki Province.

Chief Minister Surendra Raj Pandey has taken action to suspend Minister for Social Development Sushil Simkhada and Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Transport Ramesh Bahadur Jughali.

With the suspension of these ministers, CM Pandey has assumed direct oversight of both ministries.

At the central level, CPN (Maoist Center) has undergone a significant realignment, forming a new alliance with CPN-UML, RSP, and JSP, thereby dissolving the alliance previously led by Nepali Congress.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, in response to these developments, has reshaped the cabinet by appointing three ministers each from CPN (Maoist Center), CPN-UML, and RSP.

These changes underscore the evolving political landscape and its impact on governance structures at both the federal and provincial levels.
