KATHMANDU: The freshly minted ruling coalition is slated to convene a pivotal session on Tuesday to deliberate on the distribution of ministerial portfolios.

Comprising CPN (Maoist Center), CPN-UML, Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), and Janata Samajbadi Party (JSP), the alliance is poised to gather at Baluwatar for discussions.

Key figures including UML’s Shankar Pokharel, Maoist Center’s Barsha Man Pun, RSP’s Swarnim Wagle, and JSP’s Rajendra Shrestha are expected to be present, strategizing the dynamics of power-sharing among coalition members.

The CPN (Maoist Center) recently forged ties with CPN-UML, RSP, JSP, and Janamat Party, consequently breaking away from the alliance led by Nepali Congress.

Following the formation of the new coalition, a fresh Cabinet was assembled, with three new ministers appointed from each of CPN-UML, RSP, and CPN (Maoist Center).
