Arrest warrant issued against Rabi Lamichhane from Parsa

KATHMANDU: An arrest warrant has been issued against Rastriya Swatantra Party Chair Rabi Lamichhane by Parsa District Court.

Lamichhane, who was previously arrested in Kathmandu on November 18 on charges of embezzling cooperative funds, is currently in Kaski police custody.

The warrant pertains to allegations of misappropriating funds from the Sano Paila Savings and Credit Cooperative in Birgunj. Parsa Police Chief Kumod Dhungel stated that the court has granted permission to arrest Lamichhane for further investigation.

In addition to Lamichhane, warrants have been issued against 14 others on similar charges.
