President Paudel honors Para Olympic medalist Palesha



KATHMANDU: President Ram Chandra Paudel honored Palesha Govardhan and the rest of the team during a special ceremony at Sheetal Niwas.

Palesha, a bronze medalist at the Paris Para Olympics, was celebrated for her remarkable achievement in the women’s under 57 kg K44 Taekwondo category, where she triumphed over competitors from Serbia.

During the ceremony, President Paudel adorned Palesha with garlands and shawls.

The President expressed his pride in Palesha’s accomplishment, emphasizing that her success brings honor to the nation and voiced hopes for a gold medal in future competitions.

The event featured a traditional welcome from a Nepali Army troop, which performed the Mangaldhun.

Minister of Youth and Sports Tejulal Chaudhary, Palesha’s parents, and officials from the sports association were also present to celebrate the occasion.
