KATHMANDU: The weather across the country as of Wednesday morning is partly to mostly cloudy.

The Weather Forecasting Division has reported that light rain is currently occurring in a few locations within Koshi, Madhes, and Gandaki provinces.

The forecast for the afternoon indicates that the weather will remain partly to mostly cloudy.

Light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, is expected in a few places in Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki provinces, and some areas of the remaining provinces.

Heavy rain is also anticipated in one or two locations in Koshi, Madhes, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Tonight, the weather will continue to be partly to mostly cloudy nationwide.

Light to moderate rain, with possible thunder and lightning, is likely in parts of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, as well as a few places in other provinces.

The Division has noted a chance of heavy rain in one or two areas of Koshi, Madhes, and Gandaki provinces.

The Division has issued warnings and advisories for the next 24 hours.

These include the likelihood of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in some areas of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces, and a few locations in the remaining provinces.

Heavy rain may also occur in one or two places in Koshi, Madhes, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

People have been advised to take necessary precautions to mitigate the risk of disasters such as flash floods, landslides, and erosion.

There may also be partial impacts on daily life, including agriculture, health, tourism, mountain climbing, and both road and air transport in affected areas.
