CAVA Women’s Volleyball: Iran defeats Nepal in close match

KATHMANDU: Nepal faced a narrow defeat against Iran in the CAVA Women’s National Volleyball League on Sunday.

In a highly competitive match, Iran triumphed over Nepal with a score of 3-2 in sets.

Iran secured victory by winning the first set 25-16, the third set 25-23, and the fifth set 15-13.

Nepal claimed the second set 25-16 and the fourth set 25-15.

On Saturday, Nepal achieved a historic win against India with a 3-2 set victory, and earlier, the home team defeated Sri Lanka 3-0 in sets.

Nepal will play its final match of the league stage against the Maldives on Monday.

The league includes teams from Nepal, India, Sri Lanka, the Maldives, and Iran, with the top four teams advancing to the semi-finals.
