After talks with PM Dahal, RSP rules out quitting government

KATHMANDU: Following nearly two hours of discussions with Prime Minister (PM) Pushpa Kamal Dahal “Prachanda”, the likelihood of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) immediately exiting the government has diminished.

A leader of the RSP, who attended the meeting, indicated that there are no plans for the ministers to resign at the moment.

During the meeting with RSP leaders, Prime Minister Dahal expressed his commitment to address issues within Parliament.

The departure of the CPN-UML from the government has reportedly bolstered discussions between the ruling coalition’s Maoist Center and senior RSP figures, reducing the immediate prospects of the RSP’s departure from the government.

Present at the meeting were RSP leaders Rabi Lamichhane, Swarnim Wagle, DP Aryal, Santosh Pariyar, and other key leaders.
