KATHMANDU: The Sudurpaschim provincial assembly meeting called to address the vote of confidence for Chief Minister (CM) Dhirga Bahadur Sodari has once again been postponed, this time on Saturday.
The meeting, which was initially rescheduled for 5 PM today due to uncertainty surrounding CM Sodari’s confidence vote on Friday, has been delayed indefinitely.
The provincial assembly secretariat, citing a missing notice, has announced the postponement until further notice.
The vote of confidence for CM Sodari has fallen into limbo after the ruling partner CPN-UML expressed discontent, stating that CM Sodari decided to seek a vote of confidence without prior consultation with the party.
Currently, key UML leaders in the province have convened in Kathmandu to discuss the matter with central leaders.
