KATHMANDU: The Ministry of Health and Population has issued a stern warning against health institutions found exploiting service seekers and operating unlawfully.

According to a press statement released by the Ministry, Undersecretary Ekdev Khanal emphasized that stringent action would be taken against health facilities found in violation of regulations.

He highlighted that establishments failing to meet stipulated criteria and operating without proper permissions would face consequences, based on complaints lodged by service seekers.

“Under Rule 12 (2) of the Public Health Regulation, 2077, punitive measures will be enforced against any health facility found operating without due permissions.

Regardless of whether they operate privately or on a charitable basis, they are bound by the regulations,” Khanal reiterated.

He further noted instances of health facilities, such as autism therapy centers and child clinics, reported to be operating illegally.
