T20 Series: West Indies ‘A’ sets 173-run target for Nepal



KATHMANDU: In the culminating match of the T20 series, West Indies ‘A’ has set a challenging target of 173 runs for Nepal.

Today’s match, held at the TU Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, saw West Indies ‘A’ winning the toss and opting to bat first.

For Nepal, Sagar Dhakal and Sompal Kami showcased stellar bowling performances, each securing three wickets, while Abhinash Bohara chipped in with one wicket.

On the batting front, Roston Lamar Chase and Roston Lamar Chase contributed 33 runs each, accompanied by Johnson Charles with 24 runs and Matthew Walter Forde adding 23 runs to the team’s total.

Having already clinched the series with three consecutive victories following an initial loss, West Indies ‘A’ maintains a commanding lead of 3-1.

Nepal’s sole victory came in the first match of the series, where they triumphed by 4 wickets, but subsequent defeats saw them falter by margins of 10 runs, 76 runs, and 28 runs in the second, third, and fourth matches respectively.
