Lumbini Chief Minister Chaudhary likely to resign today



KATHMANDU: Chief Minister of Lumbini, Dil Bahadur Chaudhary, is set to resign from his position on Thursday evening.

According to sources, Chief Minister Chaudhary has decided to tender his resignation after failing to garner the vote of confidence from the political parties in the alliance.

From the ruling coalition CPN-Maoist Center province parliamentary party leader Jokh Bahadur Mahara has garnered support to claim majority to form the government.

Chaudhary is expected to announce his resignation during the Province Assembly meeting scheduled for Thursday at 4 pm, as per the sources.
