Police nab three allegedly involved in fraudulently using senior police officials photo



KATHMANDU: Three people have been apprehended for fraudulently using the photo of a senior police official to carry out scams.

They are accused of exploiting the profile picture of a senior police official on WhatsApp, inducing fear by displaying various types of threats.

The apprehended individuals are facing charges of scamming 1.3 million rupees, as reported by the police.

The identity of the police official whose photo was misused has been disclosed, and an investigation is underway to determine the extent of the fraudulent activities.
