NC President Deuba calls CWC meeting

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) President Sher Bahadur Deuba has summoned a meeting of the Central Working Committee (CWC) on Tuesday.

As per Krishna Prasad Poudel, the Chief Secretary of the NC Central Office, the CWC meeting is set to take place on Tuesday at 3 pm at President Deuba’s residence in Budhanilkantha.

Given recent shifts in the political landscape, the committee will engage in discussions and analyses of these developments.

Notably, a meeting of the party’s office bearers and former office bearers occurred on Monday.

Poudel highlighted that the meeting’s main agenda is to scrutinize recent significant events and developments.

Despite the provision for 46 members in the CWC, the current count stands at 37 members.

With the establishment of a new coalition, including parties like CPN-UML, Rastriya Swatantra Party, Janata Samajwadi, and others, the Nepali Congress has convened this CWC meeting to assess implications and strategize accordingly.
