KATHMANDU: In an exciting match under the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) U-19 Women Championship, Nepal emerged victorious against Bhutan today.

The clash, held at BSSS Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Bangladesh, saw Nepal securing a 1-0 win over Bhutan.

With this triumph, Nepal now shares the top spot with three points.

Senu Pariyar became the game-changer for Nepal, scoring the decisive goal in the 54th minute of the match.

In their initial encounter, Nepal faced a 3-1 defeat from Bhutan.

However, Bhutan tasted defeat in their first match against India.

The ongoing competition includes Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, and India, with the top two teams in the points table advancing to the finals.

Nepal is gearing up for its next challenge against India on February 6, anticipating another intense showdown in the SAFF U-19 Women Championship.
