BHARATPUR, CHITWAN: Nepali Congress General Secretary Gagan Thapa has voiced against the culture of forming alliance in the elections.
Speaking at a civic event in Bharatpur, Chitwan, Thapa revealed that party workers disapprove of forming alliances with other parties.
Thapa, who launched the program from Jhapa, highlighted that party cadres advise against coalitions, stating that it was a mistake.
He emphasized that party members’ discontent is now officially documented, adding that his personal opinion aligns with this sentiment.
Thapa pointed out that NC supporters are unhappy about being unable to vote for their party leaders by casting votes on the NC emblem, a sentiment expressed in Jhapa, Sunsari, Morang, and across Madhes.
The Nepali Congress General Secretary concluded that dissatisfaction within the party majority stems from the leadership’s failure to stand alone in the election.
