The meeting, led by Nepali Minister for Foreign Affairs NP Saud and his Indian counterpart S. Jaishankar, brings together delegations from both nations to address a wide array of over three dozen agendas, spanning topics of mutual interest and concern.

The discussions are expected to culminate in the signing of two crucial agreements, as well as the inauguration of three cross-border transmission lines connecting Nepal and India.

Earlier in the day, Foreign Minister Jaishankar engaged in separate meetings with President Ram Chandra Poudel and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, setting the stage for the comprehensive talks ahead.

Additionally, the day witnessed a historic agreement between the two nations for the long-term exchange of 10,000 megawatts of electricity, further solidifying the collaborative efforts between Nepal and India.
