PM Oli meets Chinese President Xi in Beijing

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, currently on a four-day visit to China, met with Chinese President Xi Jinping on Tuesday.

The meeting took place at the Diaoyutai State Guest House in Beijing, according to the Prime Minister’s Secretariat. Details of their discussions have not been made public yet.

PM Oli reached China on December 2. Before meeting with President Xi, he held talks with Chinese Premier Li Qiang.

Following these discussions, nine agreements were signed between the two countries, although the specifics and significance of these agreements remain unclear.

Notably, none of these agreements address the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
