KATHMANDU: Two people tragically lost their lives after being swept away by the Chhare River while bathing in a spring in Dhawa, Sitganga Municipality-14.

The incident occurred this afternoon, claiming the lives of 28-year-old Umesh Paudel and 23-year-old Kishore Raskoti, both residents of Banganga Municipality-2, Kapilvastu District. Chief Pratit Singh Rathore of the District Police Office, Arghakhanchi, confirmed the incident.

The bodies were later recovered downstream.
