KATHMANDU: The annual action plan of the CPN (UML) was presented at today’s politburo meeting.
UML General Secretary Shanker Pokharel introduced the party’s annual action plan during the meeting at the party’s central office in Lalitpur (Chyasal), which was presided over by Chair KP Sharma Oli, according to the party’s publicity department chief, Rajendra Gautam.
The action plan covers various aspects, including party membership, expansion, and documentation; regular conventions for the party and affiliated organizations; and evaluation of party committees, leaders, and cadres.
“Emphasis is placed on whether the party will complete the tasks assigned by the committee and whether it remains active. The plan also includes an evaluation of whether the party committees are operating legally,” Gautam said.
Additionally, the action plan outlines strategies for effective mobilization of government and people’s representatives and aims to communicate government achievements to the public.
All politburo members are scheduled to share their views tomorrow. The final action plan will be disclosed after incorporating recommendations from the politburo members, Gautam added.
