KATHMANDU: The 10th National General Convention of the Unified Socialist Party will extend into today, focusing on critical discussions and decisions.
Twelve dedicated groups convened yesterday to deliberate on political documents, socialist programs, statutes, and organizational matters. Representatives engaged in comprehensive discussions regarding these documents.
Today’s agenda includes presenting these documents along with recommendations from delegates across the nation.
Following presentations by group leaders, the documents will undergo approval, possibly with amendments.
Alok Rayamajhi, a member of the party’s standing committee, confirmed that proceedings will resume at 11 am today.
A total of 1,849 delegates are actively participating in the convention, aiming to elect a new 299-member working committee.
