PM Dahal, Oli, Nepal meeting: Unified Socialist to support Janamat Party in Madhes

Nagarik Unmukti Party Chair Shrestha to join federal govt



KATHMANDU: The top leaders of Nepal’s ruling coalition, including Prime Minister and Chairman of the CPN-Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli, and CPN-Unified Socialist Chairman Madhav Nepal, convened at Singh Durbar on Monday to deliberate on contemporary political affairs.

According Prime Minister Dahal’s Secretariat, the trio of leaders has reached a consensus to endorse the Janamat Party candidate as the coalition’s nominee for the Chief Minister position in Madhes.

This move aims to solidify the coalition’s position in the region.

Furthermore, the leaders have decided to provide support to the Janamat Party in Madhes and have extended an invitation to Ranjita Shrestha Chaudhary, Chairperson of the Nagarik Unmukti Party, to join the federal cabinet.

Earlier, Prime Minister Dahal, UML Chairman Oli, and Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba had met in Baluwatar on Monday.
