Govt lacks literacy of decentralization: UML Chair Oli

KATHMANDU: The CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli, asserted that the current government has failed to comprehend the concept of power decentralization.

Speaking at a training program organized for the lawmakers at the Parliament building on Sunday, former Prime Minister Oli levelled allegations of illiteracy about decentralization.

He pointed out that the current government has become autocratic and has failed to understand the essence of power decentralization.

“The government at this level has not grasped the reality of decentralization and has turned into an autocracy. Despite the claim of holding Ph D in Economics, the Finance Minister’s irresponsible and irrational decisions reveal otherwise,” UML Chair said.

Stating that the government seems to be revisiting the failed decisions made in 048 and 050 BS, Oli opined that this coalition government government should have been formed at all.

Oli accused the government of jeopardizing the country’s economy and insisted that the current government would not be able to form or sustain a government.
