No signs of rape in Salin Pokharel’s post-mortem examination, report reveals



KATHMANDU: Post-mortem examinations conducted on Salin Pokharel from Chitwan have yielded no signs of rape.

The body of the 14-year-old Pokharel underwent post-mortem examination at the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Kathmandu.

Officials involved in the examination have reported no evidence of rape.

Salin Pokharel was discovered hanging from a fan in a hostel of Shishu Niketan Boarding School in Ratnanagar Municipality-12 last Saturday.

Upon the discovery of her body, relatives had raised concerns of possible rape and murder.

Following this, the Principal, Vice-Principal, and hostel warden of the school were apprehended after relatives of the deceased filed a complaint against them.

Further investigation of the case is underway.
