Youth dies in Jhapa bike accident



BIRTAMOD: A 26-year-old man died and another was injured when a speeding motorcycle hit a tree in Jhapa.

The accident occurred last evening near Das Bridge on the Birtamod-Shanishchare road.

According to the District Police Office in Jhapa, the motorcycle (registered Ba 49 Pa 2159), lost control and crashed.

The deceased has been identified as Santosh Limbu, a resident of Srijangha Rural Municipality-6 in Taplejung.

He was taken to B&C Hospital for treatment but was pronounced dead by doctors.

Prasad Limbu, who was riding as a passenger on the motorcycle, suffered serious injuries in the accident and is currently receiving treatment at B&C Hospital in Birtamod.
