NC recommends four ministers for Karnali province government

KARNALI: The Nepali Congress (NC) in Karnali has recommended four individuals to be inducted into the government led by Chief Minister Yamlal Kandel.

At a meeting held today, the party selected Rajib Bikram Shah as Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning, Ghanashyam Bhandari as Minister for Social Development, Bijaya Budha as Minister for Energy and Water Resources, and Suresh Adhikari as Minister for Industry, Tourism, Forest, and Environment, according to NC Chief Whip for the province, Hikmat Bahadur Bist.

Budha represents Humla, Shah is from Jajarkot, Adhikari is from Salyan, and Bhandari represents Dailekh in the Karnali Province Assembly.

The ministerial posts became vacant after four ministers from the CPN (Maoist Centre) resigned on July 22 following a change in the power equation at the center.
