Majority of grade 12 students fail English exam



KATHMANDU: A significant number of Grade 12 students have failed the Compulsory English exam this year, as reported by the National Examination Board (NEB) on Friday.

The exam results revealed that 102,206 students failed in English, marking a concerning trend in the subject.

The overall pass rate for regular students stands at 52.91%, with 47.09% of students being non-graded, indicating they did not pass.

Detailed statistics show:

3.61 to 4 GPA: 9,591 students

3.21 to 3.60 GPA: 46,893 students

2.81 to 3.20 GPA: 78,075 students

2.41 to 2.80 GPA: 61,036 students

2.01 to 2.40 GPA: 8,240 students

1.61 to 2.0 GPA: 12 students

Furthermore, 127,700 students have been classified as non-graded and are eligible to participate in the reexamination.
