Windy conditions and rain expected across Terai

KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has stated that the monsoon air is affecting the entire country, with the monsoon low-pressure line stationed along the normal position.

The weather is experiencing partial to general changes across the nation.

Light rain is currently falling in Gandaki, Koshi, and a few locations in the Bagmati Province.

This afternoon, the weather is expected to be partly to mostly cloudy nationwide.

The Division has predicted light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in some areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and other provinces.

Heavy rain is possible in isolated locations within Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Karnali provinces.

Additionally, storms may occur in some areas of the Terai in the Madhes and Koshi provinces.

Tonight, the skies will be generally cloudy across the country.

There is a chance of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, Sudurpaschim, and Madhes provinces.

Heavy rain could affect one or two places in Koshi, Karnali, Sudurpaschim, and other provinces.

The Division has advised residents in these areas to exercise caution.

In the next 24 hours, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is expected in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, Sudurpaschim, and other parts of the remaining provinces.

Given the potential for heavy rain in certain areas and storms in the Terai, the Division has warned of possible floods, landslides, and other hazards.
