New coalition government for political stability: NC



KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) has announced that it forged a power-sharing agreement with the CPN (UML) to amend the constitution, achieve political stability, and improve the economic situation.

At a meeting of NC office-bearers held today at the residence of NC President Sher Bahadur Deuba in Budhanilkantha, the party concluded that it needed to form a consensus with the CPN (UML) to address the issues arising during the implementation of the constitution.

NC Chief Whip Ramesh Lekhak briefed the meeting about the power-sharing agreement reached between the NC and UML on Monday night.

Both parties agreed to collaborate on various issues, including constitutional amendments.

Speaking to the media after the meeting, NC Spokesperson Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat shared that the agreement includes taking turns to lead the government and incorporating other parties into the government.
