KATHMANDU: West Indies ‘A’ secured victory in the T20 series against Nepal, defeating the home team by 28 runs.
With this win, West Indies ‘A’ has claimed the series 3-1, with one match still to be played.
Opting to bat first after winning the toss, West Indies ‘A’ set a target of 210 runs for Nepal to equalize in the ongoing T20 series.
At the TU International Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, the visiting team posted a total of 209 runs for the loss of three wickets.
Johnson Charles led the charge with 58 runs, supported by Andre David Stephon Fletcher and Fabian Anthony Allen, who contributed 84 and 33 runs, respectively.
For Nepal, Kushal Bhurtel took two wickets, while Pratish GC claimed one.
In pursuit of the challenging target, captain Rohit Poudel anchored Nepal’s innings with 82 runs, while Sandeep Jora, Dipendra Singh Airee, and Gulsan Jha chipped in with 19 runs each.
West Indies ‘A’ bowlers, Matthew Walter Forde and HR Walsh, were instrumental, taking three wickets each, while FA Allen and G Motie claimed two wickets each.
