Ruling alliance decides Chief Minister allocations for seven Provinces

KATHMANDU: The ruling alliance, comprising four major political parties, has finalized the allocation of Chief Minister posts for all seven provinces in Nepal.

In a crucial meeting held on Monday, key leaders of the alliance, including Prime Minister and Chairman of CPN (Maoist Center), KP Sharma Oli; Chairman of CPN-UML, Upendra Yadav, Health Minister, and Chairman of Janata Samajbadi Party; and Chairman of CPN (Unified Socialist), Mahav Nepal, reached a consensus.

According to the agreement, CPN (Maoist Center) will assume leadership in Bagmati and Lumbini Provinces, while CPN-UML will take charge in Gandaki, Karnali, and Koshi Provinces.

Furthermore, the Nagarik Unmukti Party and CPN (Unified Socialist) will lead the government in Sudurpaschim Province alternately, while the Madhes Provincial government will be headed by Janata Samajbadi Party.
