GANDAKI: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has highlighted the growing recognition of Panchkot in Baglung, both nationally and internationally.

Addressing the ‘Anantashree Brahmandiya Mahayagya’ event in Panchkot, PM Dahal expressed confidence in Panchkot’s potential to contribute significantly to Baglung’s overall development. He praised Panchkot and the Shaligram Museum in Kundulefedi as popular religious and tourist destinations.

PM Dahal emphasized that hosting mega religious events like the Mahayagya increases spiritual awareness and fosters the preservation of religion, customs, and culture. He stressed the importance of spiritual values in achieving lasting peace, especially in a world focused on material development.

Acknowledging Swami Kamalanayanacharya’s contributions to social transformation through religious knowledge, PM Dahal commended the Swami’s efforts in promoting education, healthcare, environmental conservation, and regional development.

In line with the government’s commitment to infrastructure development, PM Dahal announced priority for the upgrading of the road connecting Mustang’s Korala transit through Baglung and Myagdi in the upcoming fiscal year.

Swami Kamalanayanacharya called for government support in developing religious tourism, noting the significant transformation of Panchkot with the collaboration of the community and government. He emphasized the need for government assistance in managing roads, water supply, and parking facilities in the area.
