Nepal scores 38 run in loses of two wickets in powerplay

KATHMANDU: Nepal demonstrated resilience, scoring 38 runs while losing two wickets within the first six overs of the second innings in the intense T20 International clash against the Netherlands.

In the initial innings, the Dutch won the toss and elected to bat first. However, Nepal’s formidable bowling unit restricted the Netherlands to a total of 120 runs within the allotted 20 overs.

V Kingma of the Netherlands proved to be a thorn in Nepal’s side, claiming two crucial wickets in the early overs.

Opening batsmen Kushal Bhurtel and Aarif Sheikh contributed 12 and eight runs respectively before departing from the crease.

Currently, Captain Rohit Poudel and Gulsan Jha are at the crease, striving to establish a solid partnership for Nepal.
