Speaker Ghimire calls meeting with chief whips to discuss upcoming parliamentary session



KATHMANDU: Speaker Devraj Ghimire has convened a meeting with the chief whips and whips to discuss preparations for the upcoming parliamentary session.

The meeting, scheduled to take place at his office in Singha Durbar, aims to deliberate on the agenda for the forthcoming session, set to begin on Monday.

Shekhar Adhikari, the press advisor to the Speaker, provided this information and stated that the meeting is focused on discussions regarding readiness for the Winter Session of the Parliament, commencing from Monday.

In accordance with the recommendation of the Council of Ministers, President Ramchandra Paudel has called for the parliamentary session on February 5 at 4 pm.

Following this invitation, the Federal Parliament Secretariat issued a notice 10 days ago, on January 24, requesting the presence of lawmakers at the Parliament building in New Baneshwor on February 5 at 4 pm.
