Fatal fires claim lives of two women in Dang and Kailali



KATHMANDU: In distressing events, two women have lost their lives in separate fire incidents in Dang and Kailali.

The unfortunate incidents resulted in the demise of 44-year-old Laxmi Chaudhary from Katkuhiya, Ward No. 8 in Tulsipur, Dang, and Devaki Nyupane from Ward No. 1 in Bardagoriay, Kailali.

According to the police, Laxmi tragically lost her life in a fire that ignited while she was cooking, and Devaki faced a similar fate as a fire broke out while she was preparing food at her home.

The Tulsipur Area Police Office reported that Laxmi’s death occurred due to a fire that caught her clothes while cooking. In Devaki’s case, the fire incident took place while she was warming herself and cooking simultaneously.

The police are currently investigating for further details surrounding these unfortunate incidents.
