ACC U-19 Asia Cup: Nepal sets B’desh a target of 142 runs



KATHMANDU: Nepal has set Bangladesh a target of 142 runs for victory in their second match of the ACC U-19 Asia Cup.

After Bangladesh won the toss and elected to field at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in the UAE, Nepal posted a total of 141 runs in 45.4 overs.

Opener Akash Tripathi top-scored for Nepal with 43 runs, hitting 5 fours off 77 balls.

Wicketkeeper Uttam Thapa Magar contributed 29 runs before being run out, while Abishek Tiwari also made 29 runs. The remaining Nepali batsmen failed to reach double figures.

For Bangladesh, Mohammad Rijan Hossain, Mohammad Al Fahad, and Mohammad Iqbal Hasan Emon each claimed two wickets.

Saad Islam Razin, Rafi Uzman Rafi, and Azizul Hakimi Tamim took one wicket apiece.
