Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya described voter participation as enthusiastic, with significant turnout recorded in several areas.

As of now, details from 234 out of 286 polling stations have been submitted to the Election Commission.

Thirty-eight percent voter turnout has been recorded by 12 noon, according to the EC.

Voting began at 7 a.m. on Sunday, though in the remote Himalayan region of Humla, polling started around 9 a.m. due to cold weather conditions.

The Election Commission has said that voting will continue until 5 pm today.
