Weather expected to be clear in hilly areas today

KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has reported that the monsoon is currently affecting the country, which is still influenced by a low-pressure system in India’s Madhya Pradesh and surrounding areas.

Light rains are being observed in various locations across the Bagmati, Koshi, and Lumbini provinces.

This afternoon, the weather is expected to clear in the hilly areas of the Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, while other parts of the country will also see clear skies.

However, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain, accompanied by thunder and lightning, in some areas of Koshi Province, as well as a few locations in the hilly areas of Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces, and isolated spots in the remaining provinces.

Tonight, the weather is expected to remain clear in the hilly areas, including the Koshi Province, while the rest of the country will be partly cloudy.

Light to moderate rain, with thunder and lightning, may occur in some hilly areas of Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces, including the Koshi Province.
