Nepali Congress endorses Gagan Thapa’s proposal to contest upcoming elections independently



KATHMANDU: The Nepali Congress (NC) has endorsed the proposal presented by General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa to contest the upcoming elections independently.

During a Central Committee meeting on Sunday, the proposal to participate in the general election of 2084 BS without forming alliances with other parties was approved.

Ajay Babu Shivakoti, a central committee member, confirmed the decision.

Thapa initially presented the proposal at the Mahasamiti meeting held in Falgun 2080 BS at Godawari.

The party will now move forward with its plan to contest the elections alone.
