Two foreigners arrested with 1.247 grams cocaine from Thamel

KATHMANDU: Police have arrested two Tanzanian nationals with the banned drug cocaine.

Two Tanzanian nationals were arrested from Kathmandu on Saturday with 1 kg 247 grams 76 milligrams of cocaine.

Ramadhani Simba Mwabumba, 52, and Twalib Kipevu Pashuwa, 56, were arrested from Hotel Gallery, Thamel.

The Anti-Narcotics Bureau team arrested Ramadhani from room number 204 of the hotel with 606.55 grams of cocaine contained in 35 capsules inside a juice carton.

Twalib was arrested from room number 205 of the same hotel with 641.21 grams of cocaine contained in 37 capsules inside a juice carton.

The Bureau informed that an investigation is ongoing after obtaining a remand extension from the Kathmandu District Court.
