KATHMANDU: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Basanta Bahadur Kunwar returned Nepal following his participation in the ’19th Head of NCB Conference’ held in Leon, France from Baishakh 11 to 13.

Upon his arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport (TIA), IGP Kunwar received a warm welcome from Additional Inspector General of Police, Deputy Inspector General of Police, and Senior Police Officers.

The conference, attended by Interpol NCB heads from all 196 member nations, Interpol General Secretary, and Officers, focused on enhancing coordination and cooperation to combat transnational organized crime.

Discussions encompassed a variety of crucial topics including the expansion of access to I-24/7, sharing of criminal data, interception of criminal proceeds, protection of children, and data protection measures.

During the conference, IGP Kunwar, representing the National Central Bureau (NCB) of Nepal, engaged in bilateral discussions with representatives from India, China, and Malaysia.
